The car park along Cunliffe Street at the south end of the bay has long been underutilised so the shire has proposed a long-overdue upgrade in the form of
✅ An upgrade to the existing car parking adjacent to Grace Darling Park and along Cunliffe St
✅ A new boardwalk and gazebo (with disability access) which will be warmly welcomed by all
✅ Increased lawn area
✅ Revegetation in the vicinity of Hopkins
✅ New footpaths throughout the area
✅ Sand renourishment
✅ And improved Hopkins St road surface and drainage

Christian Porter’s office put $250k towards the project some time ago and most in town are thrilled that the project is now a step closer to becoming a reality. Your feedback on these draft plans is welcomed prior to 4pm, 28 February 2021 via this link

Following the closure of the feedback period, the draft plans will be presented to Council at a Council Meeting for formal adoption and then tenders will be invited for the construction of the Lancelin Foreshore Redevelopment.
