So when is the best time to sandboard in Lancelin? Mid-morning, when the wind is typically at its lightest. If you’re making the journey from Perth or points north, it’s important you book your board so you don’t waste time upon arrival. Youngsters love sandboarding and can ride solo or with a parent. There’s no minimum age but obviously very young children riding solo will do better on a smaller slopes.
Select the number of boards you need and the day you want to collect them and they’ll be waiting in the centre of town for you to be collected between 10am-3pm. Please note that the latest time to collect sandboards is at 3pm, if you’d like to order 8 or more boards and need to collect them later than 3pm, please contact us. All boards need to be returned by 5pm. The booking can be rescheduled OR cancelled with a $25 admin fee, if more than 3 days notice is given. Bookings cannot be rescheduled or cancelled within 3 days of the booking.
Where you collect your board depends on who has stock but all locations are in the middle of the small town of Lancelin and the location will be on your booking confirmation email. Simply present the booking receipt (printed or digital) along with your ID when collecting your board/s then head out to the dunes for some downhill action with sensational sea views. We even provide board wax at no extra charge. For directions to the dunes, click here. When you’re done, drop them back in the same condition.
