The Shire is proposing the closure of the Edward Island Point 4×4 Vehicle Access Track in Lancelin and is calling for written submissions as to why they shouldn’t close it.
This was the only way to access the point by car but recent storms have washed away the track as you can see and the shire is likely to close access altogether unless the public convinces them otherwise. This will affect wind and kite surfers big time!
If you care about this issue you need to email the shire this weekend. Copy this email address – mail@gingin.wa.gov.au – and copy this header – “Submission – Proposed Closure of the Edward Island Point 4×4 Vehicle Access Track” and let them know your thoughts.
For further enquiries on this matter please contact the Shire on (08) 9575 5100.
