Lancelin was isolated from Perth for 47 days from April 1st this year resulting in few if any tourist activity in town.

On May 18th the roadblock was dismantled and traffic able to pass freely to and from Lancelin.Over the time the road was closed things quietened down considerably and wildlife was more visible.  We were treated to the sight of an echidna along the beach path.
Emus on the outskirts of town.

And dogs were even spotted swimming with the dolphins in the bay; strange times. The bay is still being dredged to allow the commercial cray boats to get to the jetty and south of it.While the town’s eateries have re-opened albeit with limits on patron numbers, playgrounds and the skate park are closed and the exercise equipment is out of action too. The new electric car charging station across from the Silver Coast Bakery at Wangaree Park (beleow) looks great, all we need now is an electric car to use it.And the beached yacht north of the bay near the lead lights is still sitting high and dry awaiting re-floating.

Lancelin is open for business and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
