LDCA Colour Blast Registration 2020
It’s on Saturday February 29th (the long weekend). Event commences at 11am in front of the Endeavour Tavern with registration from 10am at the Tavern. Entrants will walk/run north along the beach to the point, before looping back to the finish line. Afterwards, there’s the colour explosion.
Entrants pass through a number of stations where they wade through foam and are showered with non-toxic coloured powder. After everyone has crossed the finish line, those who have purchased their 100g packets of vivid colour powder, will send them skywards in an explosion of pure colour. Then it’s off to the Tavern for lunch. There will still be tickets available on the day at the registration desk at the Endeavour Tavern.
Young and old unanimously agree it is unlike any other event, in that they get to spend quality time, and laugh, with their family without the distraction of mobile devices. On the day, please park on the beach SOUTH of the jetty or in front of Harold Park.
This year, people of all abilities can get colourful with a dedicated wheelchair-accessible section located next to the main colour explosion point. Special matting will run from the concrete path in front of the Endeavour Tavern down to the matted section near the start line allowing everyone the opportunity to participate in the fun, whether or not you join the 1-kilometre beach run/walk.
The run is presented by the Lancelin District Community Association (LDCA), the Endeavour Tavern and Offshore Cafe.
All participants agree to be photographed and those images will be used to promote the event and be made available online.
Note: Those who purchase tickets for the all abilities section are required to sign a consent form when collecting wristbands authorising the Department of Communities to use images of them at the event.
Lancelin.com.au promotes this experience as a booking agent for the LDCA.
