The 2019 LDCA Colour Blast was held on Saturday, March 2nd. This frown-free event drew families from around the state and thankfully the weather complied.

Under sunny skies, a field of more than 700 people took to the beach for the 4th running of the popular community event.

Young and old walked/ran to the north point and back, passing through various stations where they were covered in colour powder and foam.

One of the great things about the Colour Blast is the number of families that participate.  For an hour or so, those who enter are divorced from their phones/iPads and are focused solely on having FUN! And FUN is the best thing to have!

After the field crossed the finish line, those who had pre-purchased the packets of colour powder celebrated by sending the contents skyward in a colour explosion.

The LDCA thanks the Endeavour Tavern and Offshore Cafe for sponsoring the event again; their support is vital.
